Lady Panthers Pull Out Another Win Against A Quick and Feisty Lady Red Devils Team

No words can describe just how feisty the Jeffersonville Lady Red Devils play really is. They are quick, they hustle, and they have a desire to win which makes for a tough team to beat any day of the year. However, the Jennings County Lady Panther’s pulled it together second half to come out with some key moves by the coaching staff that set the tempo for remaining play.

The Lady Pathers hosted Jeffersonville at home this last Tuesday night.

You could hear a sigh of relief come over the crowd after the game ended with a win.

Lady Panther’s struggled to find a rythm in their offense collectively even through they had three main scorers, Elmore ended the night with 18pts, Woodard 18pts and Ernstes lead in scoring with 19. With the fairly even scoring by their starters you would think the night would have faired better than it did.

The night started off with a quick steal by the Lady Red Devils as soon as ball crossed the half court mark. Not ideal at all and made the Lady Panthers have to lock in early.

The Lady Panther also had to keep a close eye on their fouls as it seemed starters were getting into trouble early. However, we ended the night with only Woodard fouling out late in the fourth quarter.

Overall, continue improvement as a team when playing quicker competition. The girls played well together defensively causing a stir of their own and by making passes offensively to the open man. Woodard led the team in assists in a commanding way with 9.

Overall Lady Panthers shot around 50% for FG but the drastic difference came from the 3pt area shooting only 16%.

Final score Jennings 69, Jeffersonville 58.

Mollie Ernstes 19pts and 3 assist; Juliann Woodard 18pts and 7reb and 9 assists; Alivia Elmore 18points and 8rebs. McIntosh 8pts, Young 4pts, Byford 2pts.
